About the MAN-R.I.S.E. Project

What Is MAN-R.I.S.E.?

The MAN-R.I.S.E. Project is a unique, ongoing effort to improve the lives of gay and bisexual men in metropolitan Atlanta.

We are attempting to create a comprehensive free workshop experience that will be of significant benefit to men in Atlanta. The full workshop experience will include an extremely broad array of topics relevant to gay and bisexual men including relationships, dating, communication, love, sex, HIV/STD, sexual orientation, gender identity, and self-esteem. It will be an interactive experience for men to share and learn with and from each other.

The MAN-R.I.S.E. Project is seeking select men like you to participate in the planning phase of the full workshop. We are conducting brief 90-minute group meetings of 4 to 5 gay and bisexual men to discuss what is needed, what is missing, and what you would like to see offered or available in Atlanta. During this 90-minute meeting, you will watch a few very brief video clips and give us your feedback about your impressions, as well as discuss a few of the topics noted above.

Because we know your time is valuable, we are offering a $25 gift card to a local merchant such as Kroger, Target, or CVS for your participation. At this time we are seeking White/Caucasian and Hispanic/Latino gay and bisexual men.

This preliminary project has already been completed for the Black/African American gay and bisexual community and we now have the full program up and running called The Brother to Brother Experience. If you are a gay or bisexual Black/African American man and wish to participate in the full workshop experience, please visit that website here to learn more about it or to register.
